Our Story
We are a family owned and operated seasonal business since 1944 located in Melville, New York.
In the spring we have sod and retail greenhouses to beautify your gardens. In the fall we welcome families to make memories here at the farm during our fall festival. You can also enjoy some fall nighttime fun by visiting our Haunted House which we have been operating for 30 years. We look forward to seeing down at the farm!
Cant rave about this place enough, everything about this farm is awesome! Every staff is nice and welcoming, and the cost for entry for us was even discounted becuase of off peak days/hours. The hay ride was super nice and peaceful, the 7 acre corn maze was ssoo amazingly confusing just like in the movies, the pumpkin patches and the flower fields were so beautiful and picture worthy. The petting zoo was so nice, all the animals are rescues and they take care of them really well. Although, the alpaca spit on me- but that’s the experience I suppose. Everything about this place is memorable.

I think the smiles say it all. What a great day at the Schmitt’s Family Farm. Lots of fun in the sun… from the massive corn maze and pumpkin patch, to the playground with a huge slide and bounce “pumpkin”, the farm is the place to be. In a world filled with technology, it’s a great escape for allowing kids to be kids (and adults to find their inner kid as well). It’s also great to support a local farming business with deep roots on Long Island. Cheers to many more years of bringing smiles and happiness to the children of Long Island!

Super adorable place to bring your family! There so many things to do and so many activities but it isss packed on the weekend during busy season! Also be prepared to spend tons of money. They have all the seasonal pies and fall desserts and goodies – corn – food – even a lil pop up bakery with deliciousness and farm goods. The pies are pretty expensive but overall – the hay ride into the pumpkins is cute – there’s a sunflower farm – and blow up slides even a playground. Overall it was a blast and I expected to spend a lot… anywhere you go would be the same. My suggestion is go on a week day where it’s quiet so you can enjoy it more and get your moneys worth!

F&W Schmitt’s Farm in Melville, NY, is the perfect fall destination for our family! We love visiting year after year because they have everything that makes autumn special—hayrides, pumpkins, beautiful sunflower fields, a fun corn maze, a petting zoo, and of course, delicious apple cider donuts. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, and it’s always a memorable outing filled with fall magic. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and festive experience!
